Dear Plastic,

Problems: To reflect the Plastic Surgery Desires of People who are close to me ( To reflect how they want me to remember them visually)

Sub Problem: To make a comparison of how their desires and original differ and matter.

To document the process and note my emotions and feelings with regard to the changes.

Trends -Cosmetic surgery trends in India in 2009

Posted on 14 Jan 2009

Indian cosmetic surgery has been growing at a fast pace for the last few years and is likely to do the same this year.

Dr K M Kapoor, a leading cosmetic surgeon, identifies the likely trends in 2009,“Recession and economic slowdown is less likely to hit the Indian cosmetic surgery market as this market is still in very early phase of growth and will take at least a decade to reach the saturation level. Unlike markets of developed economies, India will continue to have more cosmetic surgeries and non surgical cosmetic procedures in 2009.”

Dr KM Kapoor is head of cosmetic surgery at Fortis Hospital, Mohali and founder of www.indiaplasticsurgery.com, a leading cosmetic surgery website in India.

Dr Kappor says that medical tourism to India for cosmetic surgery is likely to become more popular in year 2009. Recession in US and Europe will make high quality and low cost destinations in India more attractive to prospective patients.

Dr K M Kapoor sums up “As the popularity of surgical and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures continues to grow, new surgical techniques and products with better results and less recovery time will continue to make these treatments more affordable and acceptable in year 2009.”

Fortis Hospital at Mohali in Punjab has a 209 - bed capacity and was the first hospital in the region to have a separate cosmetic surgery department. India Plastic Surgery offers a full range of cosmetic surgery procedures to medical tourists at Dr Kapoor’s cosmetic surgery clinic at Chandigarh.
