Plastic Surgery on Air II - Nip/Tuck

Nip/Tuck

In July 2003, the soap opera “Nip/Tuck” was aired for the first time. By October 2004, 30 episodes were screened; the series was very successful. The story is set in South Florida, presenting the lives of two surgeons working at a cosmetic surgery centre. “Nip/ Tuck” deals with the darker sides of surgical beautification, presenting failed operations, infidelity, criminal plots, drugs and ruthless capitalist greed. The operations shown are bloody orgies, the setting resembling a butchery rather than a sterile surgical theatre.
